1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Enjoy the readings of local writers in this showcase of active novelists and poets writing for both teens and adults. Featured writers include Michele Barker, Scotti Jones, Jennifer Provost, Oliver Akamnonu, Shane Robitaille, Christine Thibodeau, and Ellen Meeropol. Refreshments and a free attendance raffle are compliments of the Friends of the Library to all who attend.

November 28, 2015: Small Business Saturday at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester. From theor website: And then, on Small Business Saturday, November 28th, we are hosting a special event with Broad Universe, spotlighting several local women who are authors, publishers, and artisans—all running their own small businesses. The event runs from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Shoppers can not only find unique gifts they can personalize, but they are also supporting the Worcester Business Community and local women author and artisans at the same time!

December 4, 2015 6:30 – 9:00: The launch of Wishing Well Connections at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester! Wishing Well Connections is a networking and education hub for authors, editors, publicists and more. The website and organization officially go live on this date, and the creators are giving their “Everything but the Writing” workshop for only a potluck contribution or $5 to go towards food and supplies. (The hour-long workshop normally costs $30-$60 or is part of a convention / conference fee.) To reserve space ahead of time, please contact wishingwellconnections@gmail.com

Meet authors T.J. Wooldridge, Inanna Arthen, Jennifer Allis Provost, and Terri Bruce at the Bigelow Free Public Library on Thursday, November 6th at 6:00 p.m. The authors will be available for questions and answers – feel free to submit your questions ahead of time! This event is FREE. Please register by calling 978-365-4160, ext. 221.

November 8 10:30 am – 4:00 pm : Writing Workshop, Annie’s Bookstop of Worcester, Worcester, MA

Join award-winning authors and publicist Jennifer Carson, Trisha Wooldridge, and Jennifer Allis Provost for a unique and affordable workshop for writers, whether they are just starting out or already publishing.

Workshop participants can also choose to get a critique of the first five pages of their work, the query and synopsis submission package, or their marketing plan. Cost for the workshop is $40 or $50 with critique. Cost includes lunch and participants MUST pre-register.

Pre-register at the store, in-person or via telephone, or through one of the instructors. Final deadline for registration with critique is Friday, October 31. Item to be critiqued must be handed in at this time. Final deadline for registration without critique is Monday, November 3rd.
